Delaware North understands that not all food should be prepared the same. In other words, all food should be specialty food. One of our answers to guests who don't want to compromise freshness and flavor for health is teaming with the Heart Foundation Tick. The specialty food service program offers healthy alternatives to popular fan fare. Each item is prepared individually with fresh ingredients that meet the Heart Foundation's strict nutrition standards.

Delaware North's first major sports stadium to offer Tick to guests was Melbourne Park during the 2008 Australian Open. We responded to the demands of almost 80 percent of Australians who wanted the Tick to guide them to healthier eating options at sporting venues. For example, one Tick-approved tuna salad on rye has 86 percent less saturated fat and 60 percent less salt than the traditional offering.

Delaware North is also a leader in providing vegetarian options in sporting venues. Year after year, PETA commends Delaware North locations for offering vegetarian options among its menu options.
