Delaware North Companies

Client Relationships

Strong relationships with clients have always been a defining characteristic of Delaware North from the earliest days of the company. Founders Marvin, Charles and Louis Jacobs approached each deal as a partnership, often investing in teams that were struggling in the early days of Major League Baseball.

The story of Louis Jacobs' boarding a train to Detroit to give the owner of the Tigers a refund is a famous one within the halls of Delaware North. Associates point to it often to demonstrate that integrity and honesty have long been defining characteristics of the company.

Although we work for our clients, we consider them partners and treat each of the properties where we are privileged to operate as our own, often investing in their upkeep or restoration, as well as in telling their stories.
