Delaware North Sportservice - What We Do

When three brothers named Charles, Marvin and Louis Jacobs started a business selling snacks at theaters and ballparks in Buffalo, N.Y., Delaware North Companies was born. So was the sports concessions industry. Over 90 years later, it would seem little has changed. The Jacobs family still owns Delaware North Companies and its subsidiary Sportservice, which continues to lead the way in the sports concessions industry.

And yet, so much has changed. From peanuts and popcorn to premium dining and gourmet cuisine. From vendors to master chefs. From hawking peanuts in downtown Buffalo to stadiums, arenas and entertainment complexes around the world. Everyone and everything that make up Sportservice are rooted in its values of delicious food and outstanding service.

Today, Delaware North Companies Sportservice holds contracts with over 40 sports and entertainment venues nationwide and other one-of-a-kind places like the legendary Grand Ballroom of New York City's Plaza. We are a company of people that imagines the extraordinary and knows how to deliver it; a company that fully understands great things can come from something as small and delicious as a handful of peanuts.
