One of the most admired travel hospitality companies in the world, Delaware North is frequently recognized for its excellence in culinary, retail, customer service, environmental management and operations.

2011
Airport Revenue News recognized the following locations in its annual Best Airport & Concessionaire contest: Newark Liberty International Airport was named the terminal with the best concessions program design and it also tied for the best overall concessions program. Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport was deemed the terminal with the best customer service and tied for the best concessions management team. And, operations at Terminal D in Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport were lauded as the best overall concession program in the single-terminal division.

FoodandWine.com recognized three Delaware North airport concession concepts at Los Angeles International Airport as “Best Airport Restaurants” – including Encounter Restaurant, Pink’s Hot Dogs and La Brea Bakery. It also praised Delaware North’s concepts at Corky’s BBQ in Memphis International Airport and the Salt Lick Bar-B-Que in Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.

2010
Several Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services concepts were recognized by Forbes.com for offering some of the best airport food in the country, including the Encounter Restaurant & Bar, Pink’s Hot Dogs, and Wolfgang Puck at Los Angeles International Airport, Heineken Lounge at Newark Liberty International Airport and The Salt Lick at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.

2009
Airport Revenue News (ARN) named numerous North American airports within which Delaware North operates winners of 2009 Best Airport Concessions Awards, including: Newark Liberty International Airport, Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, Nashville International Airport and Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

Travel + Leisure names The Encounter and Salt Lick Bar-B-Que two of the nine best airport restaurants in the world. Both are Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services operations.

Airports Council International (ACI) announced the top-performing airports in the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) survey. Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and Denver International Airport – four airports where Delaware North has a presence – made the grade.

Master Chef Roland Henin, Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services’ corporate chef and chief culinary ambassador, was recruited to coach Team USA in the 2009 international Bocuse d’Or cooking competition.

Henin traveled to Erfurt, Germany, with five Delaware North chefs to compete in the International Culinary Olympics.

Delaware North Companies was listed on Forbes’ List of America’s Largest Private Companies.

Food Management ranked Delaware North fourth on its list of 50 top management companies.

2008
Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services at Denver International Airport was named Employer for the Year by Work Options for Women (WOW) in Denver.

Delaware North Companies received high billing in Food Management's listing of the top 50 management companies in the industry.

Jeremy Jacobs was sworn in for a third term on the United States Department of Commerce Travel and Tourism Advisory Board.

Delaware North Companies was honored by the Buffalo Niagara Partnership as a major Western New York company that has thrived for 50 years or more.

Jeremy Jacobs Jr. was given an ambassadorship of the Culinary Institute of America.

2007
Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services captured honors from Airport Revenue News. The company's operation at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport picked up four first-place honors.

Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services’ Au Bon Pain franchise in Newark Liberty International Airport earned an award from Au Bon Pain for best sales increase in a transportation trade and was enshrined in the $2 million revenue club.

The Jacobs family was recognized by the Boys & Girls Club of Buffalo for its contributions to the organization that works to better the lives of youth.

Jeremy Jacobs was invited to Washington, D.C., to meet with U.S. Secretary of Commerce Carlos Gutierrez on issues ranging from positioning the United States as an international tourist destination to homeland security.

Delaware North's Western New York operation was recognized by the United Way Outstanding Campaign Team Award.

2006
William P. Hobby Airport was named best small airport by J.D. Power and Associates.

The Best Concessions Program Award for a medium-size airport was granted to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport from Airport Revenue News/Armburst Aviation Group.

The Richard A. Griesbach Award of Excellence was given to Memphis International Airport by the Airports Council International - North America. Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport also received recognition.
