Every day with Delaware North presents opportunities to learn. We offer our associates career education. Because we are a business that's all about people, hospitality career education oftentimes enriches our associates' personal lives as well.
That said, Delaware North encourages associates to seek out educational classes, seminars and take advantage of tuition reimbursement to help them with hospitality career growth. Company managers work with associates to find the right training opportunities to meet individual and department needs. The company works to give associates the tools they need to build the career they want.
Tuition Reimbursement
We believe in enabling our associates to grow as professionals. We provide generous tuition reimbursement for associates continuing their education. Company managers work with associates to ensure their courses and schedules meet Delaware North's requirements and will help the associates reach their desired goals. We reimburse our associates the cost of tuition, up to a maximum of 16 credit hours per 12-month period, to a maximum of $5,250.
Internal Seminars
Astronauts. World business leaders. Environmental pioneers. You never know who will be visiting Delaware North and its hundreds of operations around the world. Delaware North holds a number of associate meetings and internal events throughout the year. These meetings keep associate updated on company news, events and industry trends. It's one of many ways we invest in our associates.
Delaware North University
Delaware North has a partnership with Element K to provide associates with online training courses on a variety of topics from Microsoft Excel®, Word®, and PowerPoint® to developing management skills and networking. The company encourages associates to find time to take courses that will help their performance and overall professional growth. The courses are available 24/7/365 and can be self-paced. Often, accompanying training books and manuals contain the content of the online courses for future reference.
Pinnacle Program
Tomorrow's leaders are today's associates and Delaware North is committed to finding the right people to lead the company in years to come. Through the company's innovative Pinnacle Program, select associates can take on additional projects to enhance their management skills and company understanding. The program usually runs for a number of months and challenges associates to address a complex issue or solve an intricate problem. Successful completion results in the associates' graduating from the program and gaining enhanced recognition across the company.
