Harrison Hot Springs Resort & Spa

GuestPath® Sweepstakes Quarterly Grand Prize Winner
Diane Rykken, a GuestPath® survey quarterly grand prize winner, recently stayed at Harrison Hot Springs Resort & Spa in a trip sponsored by Delaware North Companies Parks & Resorts. She wrote to GuestPath® Business Partner Ray Hentze to applaud Delaware North for taking care of a wonderful vacation.

Rykken wrote, “As the winner of one of your quarterly grand prizes, I can say that the trip I won to Harrison Hot Springs was one of the best trips of my life. The resort and its location up there in the mountains are beautiful. As for the spa treatments, well, words fail me. This was my first experience with a spa and it certainly set a high standard.

“The trip aside, I also much appreciate your skill and competence in arranging the trip. You were flexible about dates. Everything was scheduled appropriately and ran smoothly. Many thanks to you and your company, Delaware North Companies for your sweepstakes and my win. I would recommend Delaware North and its resorts to anyone.”

The Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake

Operating a hotel and delivering special experiences presents unique challenges on a daily basis. Things don't always go as we planned. The actions of associate Ben Smith, as described by the guest in their note to us below, show how a professional dedicated to guest loyalty can truly shine, even in a tough situation.

"The facility was overbooked when we arrived. Ben Smith offered us complimentary accommodations at another facility for one night as well as complimentary accommodations at the Lodge for the second night. We accepted his offer and were very please with the alternate accommodations. We were also offered availability at the Lodge the next night as soon as it was ready. This was important to us as we were part of a wedding that was to be held at the Lodge that day. Ben Smith made himself very available if we needed him for any reason. We very much appreciated this."

Thanks for living up to the spirit of GuestPath, Ben.

Yosemite National Park

"Thank you very much for your help in setting up our trip to Yosemite! We had a WONDERFUL time. The weather was perfect (highs in the low 60s, lows in the 40s, and not a cloud in the sky). They treated us like royalty. We had a corner room with a view of Yosemite falls. When we got there I tracked Kathy down, and she took care of us the whole time we were there. She even arranged a "behind the scenes" tour of the Ahwahnee kitchen. It was our first trip to Yosemite, but it won't be our last."

~ Tony Anderson, responding after an anniversary trip to Yosemite.

Detroit Wayne County Metropolitan International Airport

"I wanted to compliment one of your associates named Darnetta who works at the Fuddruckers in the Detroit Wayne County Metropolitan International Airport. I've had the pleasure of encountering her multiple times this week and she's always friendly and helpful. She truly impressed me when she remembered my name and used it when talking to me. Please recognize Darnetta for a job well done."

~ Jason Feger, in an e-mail sent to Delaware North's general account.

Dunkin' Donuts Center

Thanks for the brilliant work performed by you and your staff at the circus event for the U.S. Conference of Mayors. The Dunkin’ Donuts Center has never looked so good. I am fairly certain no one has dined better than we did that evening. The food was excellent, the service top-shelf and, most importantly, our customers -- the country's mayors - - had a wonderful time.

I know it was a lot of work, but what a payoff! The event was the highlight of the mayors' weekend. I think the mayor of Oklahoma City (next year's host city) is worried.

Thanks a lot for the extra personal touches you took care of. You did an outstanding job, and I hope that we will have the opportunity to work together again.

~ Kibbe Reilly, event director commenting on Delaware North’s efforts at Dunkin’ Donuts Center

Southland Park Gaming & Racing

Ron and Susan Mallette of Ontario, Canada were treated to the newest version of Southern Hospitality known as GuestPath. On a recent visit to Southland Park the couple encountered Myra Sullivan, a 50-year associate, who created a special experience for their visit. The couple sent a letter stating how much they appreciated the lovely T-shirts that she had given them and thanked her for their experience at the track. She gave them a tour and provided personal assistance with the betting of the races. They were criss-crossing the states on a three-week vacation and typically enjoy the horse tracks but opted to try the greyhound experience. Much to their surprise they completely enjoyed the visit and will forever be thankful to the associate who created the special experience for them.
