Experience that's Unparalleled

It’s an international team effort at the Australian Open

Each year international secondments from the United Kingdom and United States join the Australian team to deliver the largest Grand Slam event in the world – in terms of patronage with a record-breaking 703,899 attending the 2015 tournament and a massive 81,031 attending on the first Saturday of the tournament, which is affectionately known as “Super Saturday.”

Hosted at Melbourne Park – which includes Rod Laver Arena, Margaret Court Arena, Hisense Arena and the show courts – the catering and hospitality footprint explodes during the 14-day event with the concession, public restaurants, bars, corporate and private dining areas tripling in size and scope to meet demand.

Demand is so high that large screens are erected in Garden Square and Grand Slam Oval – so those guests not lucky enough to have a ticket to watch live can enjoy Delaware North hospitality whilst watching the big screens.

In 2016, this concept has expanded further to include parkland along the Yarra River – close to Melbourne Park. Delaware North has worked with Tennis Australia to create and deliver food and beverage concessions alongside a selection of popular Melbourne “pop-up” cafes and bars.
