Larger-than-life fare draws national pub
Under the direction of Executive Chef Eric Borgia and General Manager Bill Lohr, Delaware North’s team at MetLife Stadium – home of the New York Jets and New York Giants – drew national headlines when it rolled out its menu for the 2015 NFL season.
Delaware North’s MetLife Stadium fare was featured in Sports Illustrated and USA Today (http://tinyurl.com/ncmwaqc) and was tweeted by ESPN sports business reporter Darren Rovell to his following of more than 750,000.
Among the new food items of interest are the Jumbo Jet Breakfast Bagel, Jumbo Jet Pretzel and the Jumbo Jet Sausage – all of which are designed to feed four-six people.
Descriptions of the new menu items are below.
Jumbo Jet Breakfast Bagel: 10-inch everything bagel topped with a half-pound of Taylor Ham, one pound of spicy chorizo, one pound of breakfast sausage, four fried eggs, four slices of American cheese, and potato hash.
Jumbo Jet Pretzel (pictured at right): Bavarian-style pretzel (served in a pizza box) with a half-pound of beer cheese, half-pound of crumbled chorizo sausage, half-pound of fried jalapenos, brown mustard and “Jet Fuel” (chimichurri).
Jumbo Jet Sausage: One pound of chicken sausage that has been cooked, shaved lengthwise, and seared again on a flat top. Add on a 28-inch, 1-pound custom-made Premio Italian sausage, topped with a half-pound of spicy Guinness beer cheese. It is finished with a pound of caramelized onions and cabbage kraut, and a half pound of crumbled spicy chorizo. The massive sandwich should also be topped at the guest’s preference with the signature spicy green chimichurri, also known as Jet Fuel.
