Jake’s 58 Hotel & Casino in Islandia, N.Y., is Long Island’s newest gaming floor. The first phase is now open with 300 video lottery terminal (VLT) gaming machines operated in partnership with Suffolk County Off-Track Betting. The options for gaming will keep growing as 1,000 machines are expected to be operational by summer 2017.

The name “Jake’s” is a nod to the Jacobs family, which for more than 100 years has owned and led Delaware North, and the “58” represents the nearby Exit 58 of I-495, the Long Island Expressway.
