Delaware North announced its return to Asia, with the award of the Singapore Sports Hub contract in 2013. The venue, which opened in mid-2014, is destined to be one of the top sporting venues in the world. The company, along with its joint venture partner SATS, was selected to provide catering and food and beverage services including retail concessions, corporate suites, members dining areas and for conferences, exhibitions and other special events across five of its venues. 

This partnership creates a unique collaboration by bringing together two organizations with extensive wealth of knowledge and experience – combining more than 160 years of delivering large-scale catering and hospitality solutions – commensurate with the scale and length of tenure of the Sports Hub catering contract. The Singapore Sports Hub will bring some of the world’s top sporting and entertainment events to Asia and Delaware North will be there to serve the millions of guests who come through its gates.

Stadium Capacity

In 2014, the new 55,000 capacity National Stadium with a retractable roof and comfort cooling for spectators became be the largest free spanning structure in the world.

World Cup

The rugby World Club 10s on June 21-22, 2014, was the first sporting event to be held at the 55,000-seat stadium.
