In 1885, the first inter-colonial tennis match was held at the Sydney Cricket Ground when Victoria played New South Wales although forms of the game were no doubt played in Australia from its colonial beginnings.

“SCG executive chef George Fouskarinis, of Delaware North Companies, was happy the fans enjoyed the revitalized menu. ‘We tried to incorporate as many Australian ingredients as we (could) and adopted the philosophy we have outside the ground, which is pasture to plate,’ Mr. Fouskarinis said.”
