Culinary and Hospitality Council

Delaware North established its Culinary and Hospitality Council several years ago to bring together resources from throughout the company to focus on the company's expertise in all manner of food service.

Under the leadership of Jeremy Jacobs Jr., a principal of Delaware North, the Culinary and Hospitality Council is focused on culinary talent, working to recruit and retain the best chefs in the world.

The Culinary and Hospitality Council has:

  • Standardized titles and pay grades across operating company lines;

  • Enacted a policy whereby all Delaware North chefs receive the appropriate level of American Culinary Federation certification at the company's expense within three years of hire;

  • Begun the Food and Beverage Summit, a weeklong developmental and team building experience designed to give company chefs much-needed time away from the kitchen for the sake of meeting colleagues, learning about trends and discussing challenges; and

  • Formalized development opportunities, including sending a team of chefs to the 2008 World Culinary Olympics.
