Who We Are

Our people

The power of community

At Delaware North our people are what make us special. They are the ones who genuinely welcome our guests and authentically care for their needs, the ones who go above and beyond, the people that create that connection to our guests. And they are not only part of our company but an integral part of the communities in which we serve through leadership, investment and commitment. Our company’s roots may stem from Buffalo, but we are just as much a part of Boston, West Memphis, Titusville and all of the other communities in which we work – thanks to our team members who make their communities a priority.

Innovation and collaboration thrive within a culture of mutual respect and appreciation. Our culture actively fosters an environment for our team members to be their best selves so they can provide the best experiences for our guests and partners.

Investing in our communities

Given the importance of supporting and strengthening the communities in which we operate, Delaware North launched a “Healthy Hometowns” program that invests in proven social determinants of health and quality of life. This includes areas such as child and family health and safety, equity in education and workforce readiness. We make targeted investments in historically underserved communities and establish and grow procurement partnerships.

Team Member Resource Groups

Delaware North’s Team Member Resource Groups (TMRGs) are voluntary, employee-led groups that help create an environment where all team members are genuinely welcomed and included. TMRGs engage members through professional development activities, initiatives and celebrations and outreach to our communities. Each TMRG is open to every team member, at every level of our business. Delaware North’s TMRGs include:

  • Veterans Network
  • Resilience, Impact, Support, Empowerment (RISE) group for women
  • Black Employee Network (BEN)
  • BeYou group for LGBTQIA+ team members
  • HOLA

New TMRGs are created as team members express interest and come together to form them.

Using our purchasing power for good

We understand that our expertise and scale as a global business offers us a unique opportunity to support and promote a more sustainable supply chain.

We work with local and national suppliers, distributors and wholesalers who place a premium on sustainability. We also partner with local businesses in the communities where we operate, helping to elevate their businesses and ensuring we reflect the unique character of those communities. Through these partnerships, we leverage our global expertise and scale to promote a more sustainable supply chain while supporting local economies.

In addition to maintaining our own partnerships, we convene regularly with our largest procurement partners to review their approaches and confirm the use of sustainable suppliers; in addition, wherever possible we try to source our produce through local farms when it is seasonally available – further supporting our local communities.
