Partnership that Works

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, Partnering with NASA

Delaware North parks and resorts business began its third decade of operation in grand style. In 2013, the company that is known for hospitality innovation and experience in locations ranging from national parks to one-of-a-kind resorts to the fabled Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, took its partnership with NASA to a new height.

Atlantis has come home for good to NASA’s Cape Canaveral visitor center, which means Kennedy Space Center guests can now experience the Space Shuttle Program as few humans have. The $100 million attraction is dramatically displayed as only astronauts have seen it before, tilted on its side at a 43.21-degree angle and seeming to float in space with its payload bay doors open and its robotic Canadarm extended, as if it has just undocked from the International Space Station.

It’s far from the first time Delaware North’s partnership with NASA has been the source of creativity and innovation. Since the partnership formed in 1995, Delaware North has worked with America’s space agency to bring to life the Apollo/Saturn V missions, the International Space Station, the Space Shuttle Program and more.
