OUR BUSINESSES

Boston

World-class arena at the center of unforgettable moments

As owner and operator of TD Garden, one of the world’s premier sports and entertainment arenas, Delaware North welcomes more than 3.5 million guests each year to Boston for world-class concerts, sporting events, family shows, wrestling and ice shows. Opened in 1995, TD Garden is the proud home of the NHL’s Boston Bruins – owned by Delaware North Chairman Jeremy Jacobs since 1975 – and the NBA’s Boston Celtics.

Delaware North, in partnership with BXP, reimagined the area surrounding TD Garden with the development of The Hub on Causeway, a transformational mixed-use district that opened in phases beginning in 2019. Spanning more than 1.5 million square feet, the project seamlessly connects TD Garden and North Station with office, residential, hotel, retail and entertainment spaces, helping redefine Boston’s West End into a vibrant, transit-oriented neighborhood.

The development included an expansion to TD Garden and destination dining experiences such as Hub Hall, Momosan and Banners Kitchen & Tap.

Venue Development & Management

Delaware North’s continuous and unmatched investment in the fan experience – totaling more than $500 million in private funding since TD Garden opened in 1995 – has fueled the arena’s ongoing evolution as one of the world’s premier sports and entertainment destinations. Owning, operating and continually reinvesting in TD Garden has given us deep, end to end expertise in the design, construction and operation of a world renowned, multi-tenant venue. This integrated model is further strengthened by our in-house culinary partner, Sportservice, which delivers elevated, fan-first dining experiences throughout the arena.

Boston as Beta

TD Garden operates as a living test lab for the future of sports and entertainment – an industry leading venue where innovation is piloted, refined and scaled. Through Sportservice, Delaware North’s flagship sports hospitality business, we introduce new fan-first serving styles and food concepts all season, continuously evolving the game day experience. That innovation is further elevated through the expertise of Patina Group, Delaware North’s premium restaurant and catering company that’s bringing elevated hospitality to select spaces and events.

Nowhere is this approach more visible than in the Boston Garden Society, where our premium clubs and suites have been recognized as first in class, setting new standards for service, design, and hospitality across the industry.

Special Events

Beyond its role as home to the Bruins and Celtics, TD Garden has emerged as a global stage for premier special events that showcase the venue’s unmatched versatility and operational expertise. In recent years, the arena has hosted international hockey on a world stage with the NHL’s 4 Nations Face Off, transformed from ice and parquet to dirt for the Boston debut of Professional Bull Riding, welcomed the intensity and national spotlight of NCAA March Madness and served as host of the ISU World Figure Skating Championships, drawing elite athletes and fans from around the world.

Boston Bruins

The Boston Bruins are the oldest U.S.-based NHL club and one of the league’s “Original Six” franchises. They rank second in all-time wins and have captured six Stanley Cups (1929, 1939, 1941, 1970, 1972, 2011).

For half a century, Delaware North Chairman Jeremy Jacobs has been at the helm of the Boston Bruins, becoming the longest-tenured, singular-active owner in North American professional sports, and giving Delaware North a unique perspective as owner and operator that clients can appreciate.
