Parks & Resorts
Delaware North's parks and resorts division provides a full range of services — lodging, dining, retail and
recreation — at many highly visited national and state parks, attractions and one-of-a-kind destination
resorts.
Since this part of our business began in the early 1990s, our family of properties has grown to more than
10 national and state parks, including Yellowstone, Grand Canyon and Shenandoah national parks, as
well as Niagara Falls State Park — America's oldest. Since 1995, we have worked with NASA not only to
manage the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, but to strategically transform it into a living,
breathing tribute to America's space program.
We entered the arena of hotel owner-operator in 2001 with the acquisition of Tenaya Lodge at
Yosemite, a breathtaking resort and longtime recipient of AAA's four-diamond distinction. Since then,
we have added unique and luxury hotels and resorts in North America and Australia that consistently
capture the imaginations of visitors. In all, we have more than 4,000 rooms in our portfolio. Our five-star
Lizard Island Resort on Australia's Great Barrier Reef has been recognized as one of the top hotels and
beach resorts in the world by Forbes, Travel & Leisure and other prestigious publications.
Our expertise ranges from culinary and customer service to development, research, insights, marketing
and sales. Many innovations have stemmed from this business, including our award-winning
GreenPath® environmental management system.
We are also very proud of our focus on interpretation. We work tirelessly to become immersed in a
property's history, culture and traditions so that we can infuse them into every aspect of the operation.
It makes sense. When you care for some of the world's most storied properties, you simply have to
share them.
